Day Nine: Marlow District
I believe this is the Marlow District in Buckinghamshire, England.
I have not found an online picture confirming the origin of this interesting English badge collected at the 15th World Jamboree but I am pretty sure I have the right place.
The town of Marlow, Buckinghamshire apparently has a significant bridge built c. 1830 that is (according to Wikipedia), "the only suspension bridge across the non-tidal Thames." I love landmarks and geography so I find this a fascinating, and nicely simple badge.
With the Olympics across the Strait in Vancouver only just over, I thought it was interesting that Sir Steve Redgrave who won god medals at five consecutive Olympics was born in Marlow.
