Classic heraldic style badge from Exeter, England.
I picked up this very classy looking badge at the World Jamboree and have always admired the design. It looks like a coat of arms because it is the arms of the City of Exeter. The Exeter Scout district is part of the Devon Scout area - sorry I don't quite know the lingo for UK Scouting but we would probably use Council or even Province as an equivalent descriptor.
An interesting history in Exeter which traces it's history as a town back to the Roman era. One quirky feature of the City is Parliament Street, described as one of the narrowest streets in the world. I saw a picture and thought I was looking at Victoria's own Fan Tan Alley in Chinatown, one of my favorite local places.
