A souvenir from the Museum that holds HMS Surprise as used in the film Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.
This is one of my all-time favorite movies and finding out the ship was actually docked in San Diego made this a must-see for me on the family road trip that included Legoland, Disneyland and the Grand Canyon.
The museum itself is basically a collection of ships in San Diego. I wish we had been able to spend more time but Surprise and a really interesting ferry from San Francisco were all we had time to see.
