An older badge featuring the founder of Scouting: Robert Baden-Powell.
The image from is based on a detail from the most commonly reproduced portrait of BP painted in 1929. The subtle shading and fine detail of this badge is impressive even 30+ years after it was designed and made and sold by the national Scout Shop.
This is actually the second time this badge was sewn onto my blanket. Over the years a few badges came loose. This one was hanging by a thread, quite literally, when took it off a couple of years ago. Now its back on and looking good.
