A simplified version of the shield from the coat of arms of Nova Scotia are used by Scouting in the Province. This coat of arms was granted in 1625 by King Charles I.

Sewing one badge per day onto my campfire blanket.
What is this?
I have too many badges collected over the years and I felt it was time to start sewing them on. Starting on the Anniversary of BP's birthday (Feb 22) I am going to sew one badge per day on my blanket until the backlog is gone.
