The model ship is a bit of false advertising again. When I got the badge it was all plastic model airplane kits. You could get cars and tanks and even occasionally ships but mostly everyone I knew, if they did them all, did model airplanes.
Today of course I'd be happy to see my Cubs do cool LEGO models but that would only count for part of the current Handicraft Badge as I guess model building isn't enough any more.
