Day 74: Suffolk

The Southern Folk (Suffolk) of England.
Another English County badge. There does seem to be a standard size and shape to these badges. The colours and the crossed arrows in the crown are from the coat of arms.

The County seat is Ipswich which for me has provided a special term "Ipswiched" which means a total shellacking in a football game. I once watched former Canadian Goalkeeper Craig Forrest hammered by Manchester United in a Premier League match for 10 goals. It was painful to watch but oddly compelling in a car-wreck sort of way. I admired the way Craig never gave up and fought right to the end. His defence gave up but he didn't and I think he was the best keeper the Canadian National Team ever had.
