I think this was from when I lived in Halifax. I was never very good but I was very proud to have earned silver by working my butt off. I went crazy on the head juggling making a dive to get one last touch and the coaches made comments to the other kids that they should all try so hard. Kinda silly but it meant a lot to me.
I think I have some Participaction awards from the same era somewhere as well...
